Web Frames 1.1.8
Build 13 · 2026-10-13 · Apple Silicon · macOS 15 or later
Added
- Save a named test state with each screen: account, test values, light/dark theme, launch arguments and preparation actions. Record preparation in the native preview, reuse values in actions, and check that the app is ready before opening the screen. The device theme is restored when capture ends; failed preparation keeps the previous screenshot.
- Start a live preview inside the selected image frame. One native runner streams the current iOS or Android screen without saving video or replacing the stored screenshot. Changing selection, entering comment mode or hiding/closing the window stops the preview. Other frames keep their last screenshots.
- Build and update-install the app before recording or refreshing screens. Choose an Xcode project/workspace and scheme, or a Gradle project, module and variant. Project builds require separate local permission and preserve installed app data.
- Record iOS and Android screen actions inside Web Frames. Click or swipe the device preview and enter text to create a reusable scenario without typing element selectors. Review and save the recording, or cancel to keep the old action list.
- Refresh selected screenshots or all saved screen recipes in batches of up to 20, mixing iOS and Android. Review per-screen results and undo successful updates together. Cancel before apply keeps all original screenshots. Agents can request the same batch with
capture_simulator_frames. - Capture Android Emulator screens using the same saved recipes and Refresh button as iOS. Supports Unicode text entry, resource ids and protected-screen detection. Uses Android SDK/JDK locally, without tapflow or another account.
- Capture iOS Simulator screens inside Web Frames without tapflow or an account. Add a screenshot from the Image tab, or bind an existing image to a simulator and installed app. Save button taps, waits, text entry, swipes and a deeplink; refresh the same frame with Undo, comments and links preserved.
- Agents can run your saved screen recipe with
capture_simulator_frame. Its separate permission is off by default. Xcode and an iOS runtime are required.
